Retail Employee Information
As a retail employee that sells tobacco products, you must comply with the Federal and State of Nevada laws, including regulations in restricting the sale and distribution of tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21. The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) believes that the elements used in this training program are effective in attaining compliance. This site was designed as a resource to help you ensure proper training in regards to selling tobacco products.
This online training provides an overview of federal and state laws, tobacco products, how to properly check ID’s, and dealing with challenging customer interactions. At the end, there will be a short quiz that will test knowledge of these topics. Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion. This site is also meant to be a resource to return to whenever you are unclear about anything related to the selling of tobacco products.
